Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell in June. It was so much fun. We went with the Kendall side and stayed on a house boat that Grandpa Kendall earned a week on at his work. Becky and I kayak'd our hearts out!

Boy or Girl

It drove me crazy not knowing whether we were having a boy or a girl. I had dreams that we had both but I had no motherly instincts or ideas on what it was. We were both secretly hoping for a boy but would have been happy with either. The two pictures are of our ultrasound. One is the profile of the baby and the other is of the baby sitting on the camera. The pictures arent great but as you can see, HE is not shy. Announcing baby boy Hendriks!

Tyler and I found out in February that our lives would forever change. It took me all of one day to decide that I wanted to tell our parents! We hung this sign on Sadies neck and had her walk out to the Grandparents. It took a minute but soon Grandma Cindy and Grandma Marg figured out what we were trying to say. Grandpa Hubert reminded Tyler that the due date was during hunting season but Tyler came to that sad realization on his own! He is so excited regardless!

I never have looked into this blogging stuff but since we are adding to the family in October I figured this would be a good way for us to stay in touch with our friends and family. I hope I figure this stuff out so I can make this site interesting and fun!
